Daily exercise is recommended and encouraged throughout pregnancy, with the exception of certain high risk pregnancies. We will communicate with your OBGYN if you have been diagnosed with preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, or placenta previa to see what type of treatment is safe and appropriate for you. Our prenatal physical therapy program will include manual therapy, pilates and yoga based mat exercises, and tailored resistance training. If needed, kinesiotaping and maternity supports would be recommended as well. We also provide education on proper lifting and body mechanics, positioning for sleeping, and preparation for labor and delivery in your third trimester. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding your condition and treatment.
